The atmosphere in Munich is fantastic. Yesterday I had a very good time seeing people of different countries drinking beers and singing in Marienplatz:)

Neues Rathaus.

In the second half if the 19th century, the civic authorities decided to build new headquarters for themselves. The chosen site was the south of Marienplatz. This Neo-Gothic construction lasted from 1867 to 1919.

The clock in the tower is the fourth-largest clock in the Europe.

Virgin on the Mariensäule.

In the centre of Marienplatz stands the Virgin on the Mariensäule (column of the Virgin). This is the central point. All the distances in Munich are measured from this column.

Marienplatz.

Marienplatz is the geographical centre of the city. The square is always full of persons.
